Terms of Service

Umpquahc (“we”) provides an online ordering platform connecting independent home cooks (“Cooks”) with customers (“Buyers”) in and around Roseburg, Oregon.

Marketplace role. We are not a restaurant, food manufacturer, or licensed kitchen. Meals are prepared and sold by Cooks. Cooks are solely responsible for food quality, safety, labeling, allergens, licensing, taxes, and fulfillment (pickup or their own delivery).

Accounts. You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. Magic-link email access is for the address you control.

Fees. Buyers pay menu prices, any Cook delivery fee, and a platform service fee (currently $2.00 per paid order). Payment processing is handled by Stripe; their fees and terms also apply.

Orders & refunds. Order fulfillment disputes should first be resolved between Buyer and Cook. We may assist at our discretion but do not guarantee refunds.

Prohibited use. Do not use Umpquahc for illegal sales, fraud, harassment, or content that violates law.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Umpquahc is not liable for foodborne illness, allergic reactions, late delivery, or Cook conduct. Use the platform at your own risk.

Changes. We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated terms.
